Agency Principal

As the Agency Principal Gus has 42 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 20 years as a investment manager in brokerage & trust services, 9 years with a national insurance company and 13 years as the President/CEO of Turner Hicks Agency, Inc. serving individuals and businesses with all of their insurance needs. He has handled many complex financial planning and estate planning needs and is dedicated to developing long lasting relationships with those he values the most, his clients.

Gus graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Economics from Culver-Stockton College. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) and an Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist (AFIS). He holds a Life, Health, Property & Casualty license with the States of Illinois, Iowa and Arizona.

Staying informed and involved in his community is important to Gus. He is currently a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois (IIA) and the Financial Planning Association (FPA), Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce, a commissioner for The General Wayne A. Downing Municipal Airport Authority and is a trained Financial Counselor for Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University®.
